A new group of AI products is trying to answer the same question: what comes after passive short video? Astrocade, Sekai, Loopit, Aippy, and Rezona all explore variations of AI-generated interactive content, AI games, or creator-driven interactive experiences.

The category is still early, but it is important. If TikTok made everyone a short-video viewer and some people short-video creators, AI interactive platforms want to make more users creators of playable or interactive experiences.

The Core Thesis

The thesis behind these products is that AI can reduce the cost of creating interactive media. Instead of learning game engines, scripting, asset pipelines, and publishing workflows, users may be able to describe an idea and generate a playable scene, story, game, or social experience.

This is a much harder problem than text or image generation. Interactive content must maintain rules, state, logic, feedback, pacing, and user agency. A generated game that looks interesting but plays badly will not retain users.

Different Product Directions

Astrocade leans toward AI-generated games and playable experiences. Sekai is closer to interactive storytelling and character-driven content. Loopit and Rezona explore AI interactive content from different creator and platform angles. Aippy, linked to Newborn Town’s ecosystem, sits closer to AI social gaming and community.

These differences matter because the category may not converge into one winner. AI games, AI stories, AI social rooms, and AI creator tools may become separate markets.

The TikTok Question

The big question is whether any of these products can become a new content platform rather than a novelty tool. TikTok succeeded because creation, distribution, recommendation, and consumption all worked together. AI interactive platforms must solve the same loop.

Generating content is only the first step. Users also need discovery, remixing, sharing, identity, status, and feedback. Without a distribution loop, AI creation tools often become demos rather than platforms.

Why It Matters

This category is worth tracking because it sits at the intersection of AI, gaming, social media, and creator tools. If one company figures out the creation and distribution loop, AI interactive content could become a major consumer category.

For now, the market is experimental. But the direction is clear: consumer AI is moving from answering questions to generating worlds, characters, and interactive systems.
